Device Description

The GCD 18V-355 is a stationary power tool designed for straight and mitre cuts (up to 45°) in metal materials without the use of water. It features a soft start, laser cutting line indication, and a chip drawer for debris collection.

Assembly

• Mounting: Secure the tool to a flat, stable work surface using the mounting holes (12). Alternatively, use a Bosch GTA saw stand.
• Saw Blade Change: Ensure the spindle is stationary before activating the spindle lock (4). Use the provided hex key (11) to loosen the hex socket screw (27). Ensure the cutting direction of the teeth matches the arrow on the protective cover.

Operation

• Transport Safety: Use the transport safety lock (16) to secure the tool arm in the transport position.
• Work Preparation: Adjust the mitre angle using the scale (31) and clamping handle (15). The angle guide (14) can be moved for optimal workpiece positioning.
• Clamping: Always clamp workpieces securely. Use the tubular jaw (20) for round workpieces to increase the clamping surface.
• Starting: Push the lock-off button (2) and press the on/off switch (19). The switch cannot be locked for safety reasons.

Maintenance and Cleaning

• Battery: Remove the battery before any maintenance or tool changes.
• Cleaning: Regularly clean the air vents to prevent metal dust accumulation, which can cause electrical hazards. Keep the area around the retracting blade guard (5) clean.
• Laser: If the laser line misaligns due to vibration, adjust it using the set screw (33).
