This manual provides instructions for the Bosch GFA 18-H rotary hammer attachment. It is designed for hammer drilling in concrete, brick, and stone when used with compatible Bosch cordless drill/drivers (GSR 18V-60 FC, GSR 18V-90 FC, EXSR18V-90FC).

Assembly

Mounting the attachment: Remove the application tool. Insert the attachment into the holder (1) and turn the locking ring (9) until it audibly engages.

Inserting an SDS plus tool: Insert the tool into the holder of the locking sleeve until it stops. Check that it is locked by pulling on the tool.

Removing the tool: Pull the locking sleeve back and remove the application tool.

Auxiliary handle: You can swivel the auxiliary handle (11) to any angle for a safe work posture. Turn the lower gripping end of the auxiliary handle anticlockwise, swivel it to the required position, and retighten.

Setting drilling depth: Use the depth stop to set the required drilling depth X. Press the button for depth stop adjustment and insert the depth stop into the auxiliary handle (11).

Operation

Operating mode: Set the torque presetting ring (2) to the "drilling" symbol for drilling or hammer drilling.

Rotational direction: Use the rotational direction switch (7) to change the direction. Only operate when the tool is not in use.

Mechanical gear selection: Use the gear selector (3) to preselect two speed ranges. Only operate when the tool is not in use.

Switching on/off: Press and hold the on/off switch (8) to start the tool. The worklight (6) illuminates the work area when the switch is pressed.

Maintenance and Cleaning

After each use, clean the application tool, the GFA 18-H attachment with tool holder, and the ventilation slots of the power tool. If the battery is no longer working, contact an authorized after-sales service agent.

Safety

Always wear ear protection. Use auxiliary handles if supplied. Hold the power tool by insulated gripping surfaces when performing operations where the cutting accessory may contact hidden wiring.
