Safety Instructions for Braun Steam Station

Important Safety Information

This document contains critical safety instructions for operating your Braun steam station. Please read these guidelines carefully before using the appliance to prevent burns, electrical hazards, or damage to the unit.

General Safety Precautions

• Hot Surfaces: The steam station generates high temperatures and hot steam. Avoid touching the soleplate and iron rest to prevent burns.
• Supervision: This appliance can be used by children aged 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory, or mental capabilities if they are supervised or instructed on safe use. Children should not play with the appliance.
• Handling: Always place the iron on a flat, stable surface. During ironing pauses, place the iron upright on its heel rest or on the iron rest.
• Water Filling: Always unplug the station before filling it with water.
• Boiler Safety: Do not open the boiler during ironing. Pressurized apertures must not be opened for filling, descaling, rinsing, or inspection during use.
• Damage: Do not use the appliance if it has been dropped, shows visible signs of damage, or is leaking.

Electrical Requirements

• Mains Impedance: Due to the high power of this appliance, ensure your mains supply is sufficient. The mains impedance should not be higher than 0.275 Ohm.
• Connection: Check that your voltage corresponds with the voltage printed on the bottom of the appliance and use an earthed socket.
• Extension Cords: If using an extension cord, ensure it is in good condition, has an earth connection, and corresponds to the power rating of the appliance (16A).
• Cord Safety: Keep cords away from hot objects, the soleplate, water, and sharp edges. If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer or a qualified service agent.

Maintenance and Disposal

• Cleaning: Clean all parts before first use or as required, following the instructions in the Care and Cleaning section. Never immerse the unit in water or other liquids.
• Disposal: Do not dispose of the product in household waste at the end of its useful life. Please take it to a Braun Service Centre or appropriate collection points provided in your country.
