The Bright Starts Safari Fun Vibrating Bouncer is designed to soothe infants. It requires adult assembly and operates on one C/LR14 (1.5V) alkaline battery. Always place the bouncer on the floor; never use it on elevated surfaces, beds, or sofas. Stop using the product when the baby begins to sit up or reaches 9 kg (20 lbs).
Safety Warnings
- Fall Hazard: Never leave the child unattended. Always use the seat restraints and adjust them to fit snugly.
- Suffocation Hazard: This product is not for sleep. If the baby falls asleep, move them to a firm, flat sleep surface like a crib or bassinet.
- Usage Restrictions: Never use the bouncer as an infant carrier for travel. Do not attach extra strings or straps.
Assembly
Assembly requires a Phillips screwdriver. Follow the steps below:
- Connect the base frame tubes and backrest tubes as shown in the manual.
- Ensure all parts are securely clicked into place.
- Attach the seat pad to the frame.
- Secure the toy bar to the frame.
Battery Installation
The vibration unit requires one (1) C/LR14 (1.5V) alkaline battery (not included).
- Use a screwdriver to open the battery compartment on the vibration unit.
- Insert the battery, ensuring correct polarity (+/-) as marked.
- Secure the cover with the screw.
- Replace batteries if the vibration becomes weak or erratic.
Usage
To use the vibration function, slide the switch on the vibration unit to the ON position. Slide it to OFF when not in use. Always ensure the seat restraint is buckled and adjusted snugly around the baby.
Care and Cleaning
- Seat Pad: Remove from the frame. Fasten all buckles and hook-and-loop patches. Machine wash in cold water on a gentle cycle. Do not bleach. Tumble dry on low heat.
- Toy Bar and Toys: Wipe clean with a damp cloth and mild soap. Air dry. Do not immerse in water.
- Frame: Wipe the metal frame with a soft, clean cloth and mild soap.
Storage and Disassembly
To disassemble for storage, use a small Phillips screwdriver to depress the release buttons on the inside of each connecting hub. Remove the footrest tube and base frame tubes from the hubs.

Common problems
Product not vibrating
Check that the battery is fresh and installed with the correct polarity. Ensure the switch is in the ON position.
Erratic operation or weak vibration
Weak batteries can cause slow motor movement or failed functions. Replace the battery with a new C/LR14 alkaline battery.
