Before using your Chefman 1.8L Custom-Temp Kettle for the first time, follow these steps to ensure it is clean and ready for use:
- Remove all packaging and materials.
- Place the power base on a flat, stable surface.
- Fill the kettle with fresh cold water up to the MAX line.
- Place the kettle on the base and plug it in.
- Set the temperature to Boil (212°F) and press Start.
- Once the water boils, empty the kettle and rinse it with clean water.
Features and Presets
The kettle features a digital display and a stay-cool handle with a built-in control panel. Key components include a drip-free spout with a removable filter, a water-level window, and a 360° swivel power base with out-of-sight cord storage.

Built-in Temperature Presets:
- Delicate: 160°F (70°C)
- Green: 175°F (80°C)
- White: 185°F (86°C)
- Oolong: 195°F (90°C)
- Herbal: 212°F (100°C)
- Black: 212°F (100°C)
- Boil: 212°F (100°C)
Indicator Colors:
- White: Power Up/Standby
- Red: Heating Water
- Green: Keep Warm
How to Use the Kettle
- Fill: Fill the kettle with fresh cold water. Ensure the water level is at least at the MIN line but does not exceed the MAX line. Place the kettle securely on the base and plug it in.
- Select Temperature: Use the up and down arrows on the handle to choose your preferred temperature or preset. Press the Start/Stop button. The indicator light will turn red, and the display will show the live water temperature.
- Pour and Keep Warm: Lift the kettle off the base to pour. If water remains, return the kettle to the base to activate the Keep Warm function for up to 1 hour. To turn off, press Start/Stop and unplug the unit.
Note: After the Keep Warm period ends, the unit enters Standby mode. If no action is taken within 3 minutes, it will enter Sleep mode.



Cleaning and Maintenance
Warning: Never immerse the kettle or power base in water or wash them in the dishwasher, as this will damage the unit.
- Unplug the kettle and allow it to cool completely before cleaning.
- Clean the interior by carefully washing with soapy water. Do not let the handle get wet.
- Rinse the interior thoroughly.
- Wipe the exterior of the kettle and the power base with a damp cloth.

Use this guide as a starting point for brewing. Adjust amounts and times based on personal preference and leaf size.
- Delicate: 160°F, 2 tsp, 3 minutes
- Green: 175°F, 2 tsp, 3 minutes

Common problems
Ensure the kettle is securely placed on the base, plugged into a power outlet, and the Start button has been pressed.
Never fill the kettle above the MAX line or below the MIN line indicated on the water window.
Never immerse the kettle or power base in water or wash in the dishwasher. Wipe the exterior with a damp cloth only.
