This guide provides essential instructions for operating the Chefman 1.8-Liter Rapid-Boil Kettle. It covers initial setup, daily operation, maintenance, and tips for brewing tea.

The kettle features a 360-degree swivel power base and a 1.8-liter capacity. Key components include:

• LED indicator lights (White for Standby, Red for Heating)

Before First Use

Follow these steps to prepare your kettle for its first use:

1. Remove all packaging materials and place the base on a flat surface.
2. Fill the kettle with water, bring it to a boil, and then discard the water to remove any manufacturing residue.
3. Rinse the interior with clean water.

Note: Never fill the water above the Max line or below the Min line.

How to Use the Kettle

1. Fill the kettle with fresh cold water between the Min and Max lines. Place it on the base and plug it in. The LED indicator will be white.
2. Press the switch to the I position to turn the kettle on. The indicator light will turn red, indicating the water is heating.
3. Once the water reaches a boil, the kettle will automatically turn off, and the LED light will return to white.
4. Lift the kettle off the base to pour. You can reheat remaining water by placing it back on the base and switching the unit on again.

Cleaning and Maintenance

Regular cleaning ensures the longevity of your appliance.

• Always unplug the kettle and allow it to cool completely before cleaning.
• Rinse the interior with soapy water and rinse thoroughly.
• Wipe the exterior and the power base with a damp cloth.

Warning: Never immerse the kettle or power base in water and do not wash in the dishwasher, as this will damage the unit.

Tea Brewing Tips

• Use filtered water for the best results.
• For delicate teas like oolong, white, or green, let the water cool slightly before steeping to avoid bitterness.
• Avoid over-steeping; two minutes is generally sufficient for most teas.
• You can re-steep some teas, such as green and oolong, within a few hours for additional flavor.
