The Chefman Fry Guy is a compact deep fryer designed for household use. Before first use, ensure all stickers are removed (except the rating label), clean the unit with a damp cloth, and place it on a dry, level, heat-resistant surface. Always ensure the basket handle is securely attached before operation.
Features
The unit includes a 1.6-quart nonstick tank, a wire fry basket with a draining hook, a detachable cool-touch handle, a temperature control knob, and a magnetic breakaway power cord for safety.

Assembly
To attach the basket handle: press in on the tabs and insert the handle into the holes of the basket until it locks into place. Pull on the handle to ensure it is secure; both prongs should be in the round holes and secured by the tabs on the bracket.

Operating Instructions
1. Place the fryer on a stable, heat-resistant surface. 2. Fill the tank with cooking oil, ensuring the level is between the MIN and MAX lines. Do not heat without oil. 3. Attach the magnetic connector to the back of the unit and plug into a 120-volt outlet. 4. Adjust the temperature control knob to the desired setting; the indicator light will turn on. 5. Once the light turns off, the oil is ready. 6. Place food in the basket and slowly lower it into the oil. 7. Lower the lid to prevent splatter. 8. When finished, lift the basket using the handle and perch it on the hook to drain excess oil. 9. Turn off and unplug the unit, allowing it to cool completely (at least 2 hours) before cleaning.
Deep Frying Tips
For best results, remove excess moisture from food by blotting with a paper towel to prevent splattering. Cut food into similar-sized pieces for even cooking. Use only good-quality cooking oil; butter, margarine, olive oil, and animal fat are not recommended as they smoke at lower temperatures. Do not overfill the basket, as this lowers oil temperature and makes food greasy.
Frying Chart
Use the following as a guide for popular foods: Chicken Wings (8 wings) at 375°F for 8-9 mins; Doughnuts (1) at 375°F for 2-4 mins; Fish Sticks (4) at 375°F for 4 mins; Frozen Egg Rolls/Taquitos (5 pieces) at 360°F for 5 mins; Onion Rings (5 oz) at 375°F for 3 mins; Frozen French Fries (10 oz) at 350°F for 8-9 mins.

Cleaning and Maintenance
Unplug the unit and allow it to cool completely. Detach the lid by pulling up. Wash the tank, lid, and fry basket with warm water and mild detergent. The fry basket is top-rack dishwasher-safe (remove the handle first). Never immerse the deep fryer or cord in water. Do not use abrasive cleaners.
Safety Instructions
This appliance is for household use only. Do not use extension cords. Do not place the appliance on a stovetop or other heatable surface. Do not let the cord hang over the edge of the counter. Use extreme caution when moving the appliance containing hot oil.
