The Citronic HexaPAR is a 40W COB LED RGBW PAR light designed for stage and event lighting. It supports multiple control methods, including auto, sound-to-light, master/slave, and DMX512. Before use, ensure the unit is kept away from damp or dusty environments and that there is adequate airflow around the housing.

Product overview

The unit features a 40W RGBW COB LED capable of producing 15 colors. It includes a dual mounting bracket for flexible positioning. The rear panel contains the LCD display, control buttons, power input/output (IEC), and DMX input/output (XLR).

Placement and cleaning

• Placement: Keep the unit away from damp or dusty environments. Ensure adequate airflow around the fixture housings and maintain easy access to controls and connections.
• Cleaning: Use a soft cloth with a neutral detergent to clean the casing. Use a vacuum cleaner to clear ventilation grilles of any dust or debris. Do not use strong solvents.

Control panel operation

The control panel consists of an LCD display and four buttons: MENU, UP, DOWN, and ENTER.

• Press MENU to enter the settings menu.
• Use UP and DOWN to navigate through functions.
• Press ENTER to save the desired setting.

Key menu functions include:

• Addr: DMX512 address setting (A001-A512).
• ChAn: DMX channel selection (5Ch, 7Ch, 9Ch).
• nASL: Master/Slave mode selection.
• CoLo: Static colour modes (Co1-Co15).
• Stro: Strobe effect speed (Stro0-Stro100).
• JUnP: Auto mode speed (JU1-JU100).
• Soun: Sound control mode (on/off).
• Sens: Sound sensitivity (1-100%).

DMX mode

To operate via DMX, connect the DMX signal source to the DMX input using a balanced XLR lead. You can daisy-chain extra fixtures by looping through the DMX out. Select Addr from the menu and confirm the start address using the buttons. The unit supports 5, 7, or 9 DMX channels, allowing control over master dimmer, individual RGBW colors, strobe effects, and sound sensitivity.

Troubleshooting

• No power: Check the IEC lead and fuse. Ensure the unit is switched on.
• No light output: Check control panel mode settings and DMX controller settings (e.g., blackout).
• Unresponsive to DMX: Ensure the unit is in DMX mode, the correct address is set, and the DMX controller is not set to blackout. Check DMX connections and cables.
• Overheating: Ensure adequate ventilation and that the unit is not placed too close to a heat source.
