Installation

Follow these steps for proper installation:

Brazing and temperature requirements for installation
Brazing and temperature requirements for installation
  • Brazing: Use a minimum of 5% silver (Ag) content for brazing.
  • Valve Protection: You must remove the Schrader valve before brazing to prevent damage.
  • Temperature Control: Ensure the filter body temperature does not exceed 70 °C (160 °F) during the process.
  • Surface Protection: If any paint is burnt off during brazing, clean the area and apply anti-corrosion paint or heat shrink to prevent rust.
  • Access Port: After installation, ensure the access port is tightened to 0.5 Nm (5 in.-lbs) and the valve core to 1.5 Nm (13 in.-lbs).
  • System Marking: After charging the system, clearly mark it with the type of refrigerant and oil used.

Converting from capillary tube

If converting from a 2.8 mm capillary tube outlet to a 1/4 inch connection, use the designated cutting line indicated on the filter drier outlet tube.
