The DiO 84214 is a wireless chime receiver. To get started, insert the batteries into the unit, mount it in your desired location, and pair it with your DiO 1.0 transmitter (pushbutton, remote, or sensor). The device features 38 ringtones and 4 volume levels.
Installation
Battery Installation:
- Remove the battery cover on the back of the unit.
- Insert 2 x 1.5V AA batteries, ensuring the polarity (+/-) is correct.
- Replace the cover.
Wall Mounting:
- Drill a hole in the wall at the desired height.
- Insert the included wall plug into the hole.
- Insert the screw into the wall plug, leaving enough length from the surface to hang the receiver.
- Hang the receiver on the screw.
Operation and Settings
Pairing:
- To pair a transmitter, press the transmitter button.
- If you hear a "Ding Dong" sound, the pairing process was successful.
Adjusting Tune and Volume:
- Use the volume button to cycle through the 4 available volume levels.
- To change the tune, press the tune button to select your preferred ringtone.
Resetting:
- If you wish to delete your pairing, open the unit and press the small button while the receiver is in pairing mode.
- You will hear a double "Ding Dong" sound, indicating that the synchronization was successfully cleared.
Compatibility
This product is compatible with all DiO 1.0 devices, including pushbuttons, remote controls, switches, and wireless detectors. You can connect up to eight pushbuttons to one doorbell.

Practical help
Common problems
Device does not pair
Ensure the transmitter is within range and the batteries are fresh. Perform a reset of the receiver and try the pairing process again.
Range is shorter than 150m
The 150m range is in an open field. Obstacles like walls, metal surfaces, or interference from other electronic devices will significantly reduce the range.
Receiver does not sound
Check if the volume is set to 'mute'. Adjust the volume using the volume button.
Before use
- Purchase 2 x AA 1.5V batteries (not included).
- Verify the polarity (+/-) before inserting batteries.
- Select a mounting location away from large metal objects.
- Ensure you have a DiO 1.0 compatible transmitter.
