Quick Guide from the Manual
The EHX Hum Debugger is designed to eliminate hum from your guitar signal. For optimal performance, place the pedal at the beginning of your effects chain. Always use the supplied 7.5VAC/400mA AC adapter; the unit does not operate on batteries.
Controls and Connections
- Normal/Strong Toggle Switch: Sets the level of hum elimination. Normal mode removes odd harmonics; Strong mode removes both odd and even harmonics.
- Status LED: Indicates if the pedal is active (lit) or in True Bypass mode (off).
- Footswitch: Toggles between active and True Bypass modes.
- Input Jack: Connect your instrument here.
- Amp Jack: Connect your amplifier or the next pedal in your effects chain here.
Using the Hum Debugger
The pedal functions like a standard effects pedal. Start by setting the toggle switch to NORMAL mode, which is sufficient for most situations. If hum is still audible, switch to STRONG mode.
Power Requirements
Warning: Use only the 7.5VAC/400mA AC adapter supplied with the unit. Using other adapters, even those from Electro-Harmonix, may damage the unit or the adapter. The Hum Debugger does not use batteries.
