Quick guide from the manual
The Electro-Harmonix Nano Stone is a compact analog phase shifter. To begin using the pedal, connect your instrument to the INPUT jack and your amplifier to the AMP jack. Inserting a plug into the INPUT jack automatically turns the unit on.
Controls and Operation
The pedal features the following controls:
- FOOTSWITCH: Toggles between effect mode and True Bypass mode. The STATUS LED lights up when the effect is active.
- RATE: Adjusts the speed of the phasing sweep. Turn clockwise for a faster sweep.
- COLOR Switch: Changes the sound of the phase shift. The DOWN position provides a full and robust shift, while the UP position creates a more pronounced, hollowed-out sound.
Power and Battery
The Nano Stone can be powered by an internal 9-volt battery or an external 9-volt battery eliminator.
- Battery Usage: The unit draws current from the battery whenever a plug is inserted into the INPUT jack. Remove the input cable when not in use to preserve battery life.
- Battery Eliminator: Use a 9-volt battery eliminator capable of delivering 100 mA. The inner ring must be negative, and the outer ring positive.
- Battery Replacement: To change the battery, remove the 4 screws on the bottom plate. Be careful not to touch the circuit board while the plate is removed.
