Quick guide from the manual
The East River Drive is a compact overdrive pedal designed to maintain your guitar's character while adding grit. It features true bypass switching to ensure your signal remains unaffected when the pedal is off.
Controls
- DRIVE Knob: Adjusts the input gain. Turning clockwise increases the overdrive from a mild edge to classic distortion.
- TONE Knob: Shapes the frequency response. Turning clockwise emphasizes treble, while counter-clockwise emphasizes bass.
- VOL Knob: Controls the overall output volume of the pedal.
- FOOTSWITCH and LED: Toggles the effect on and off. The LED lights up when the effect is engaged.
Connections
- INPUT jack: Connect your guitar or instrument cable here. Input impedance is 375kΩ.
- AMP jack: Connect your amplifier or next pedal in the chain here. Output impedance is 250Ω.
Power and Battery
The pedal can be powered by a 9V battery or an optional 9VDC AC adapter. If using an adapter, it must be center negative and capable of delivering at least 25mA. The pedal draws 6mA of current at 9VDC.
Changing the battery: To replace the 9V battery, remove the four screws on the bottom of the enclosure. Carefully remove the bottom plate. Do not touch the circuit board while the plate is off to avoid damaging components.
