The Einhell Royal TDM 1000-S is a submersible pressure pump designed for clear and slightly turbid water. It is primarily used as a cellar pump to protect against flooding. Before operation, ensure the pump is connected to a 230V/50Hz shock-proof socket with at least a 6A fuse. The pump must not be operated while people are in the water (swimming pools/ponds). Always protect the pump from frost and dry running.
Installation
The pump can be installed in a stationary position using either a fixed pipeline or a flexible hose. Important: Never install the pump by suspending it unsupported from the delivery pipe or power cable. It must be suspended from the provided handle or placed on the bottom of the shaft. The shaft should have minimum dimensions of 40 x 40 x 50 cm to allow the float switch to move freely.
Operation and Float Switch
The pump features a float switch that automatically turns the pump on and off based on the water level. The switching points can be adjusted by moving the float switch in its latching holder. Before initial use, test the operation by placing the pump in a vessel filled with water and manually raising/lowering the float switch to ensure it triggers correctly.
Maintenance
This pump is largely maintenance-free, but regular checks are recommended for long service life:

- Cleaning: If the pump is used for transportable applications, clean it with clear water after every use.
- Impeller: If excessive deposits collect in the pump housing, dismantle the bottom part by removing the screws from the intake cage and cleaning the impeller with clear water. Do not rest the pump on the impeller.
- Shaft: Every 3 months, remove sludge from the shaft bottom and clean the walls.
- Float Switch: Clean the float switch of any deposits using clear water.
Troubleshooting
If the pump fails to operate, check the following:

- Pump does not start: Check mains voltage and ensure the float switch is not obstructed.
- No flow: Check if the inlet sieve is clogged or the pressure hose is bent.
- Pump does not switch off: Ensure the float switch can sink down freely.
- Insufficient flow: Clean the inlet sieve and check for heavy contamination.
- Pump stops after short time: Thermal cutout may trigger due to dirty water or water temperature exceeding 35°C.
Technical Data
The pump is designed for water with a maximum temperature of 35°C. It is not suitable for motor fuels, cleaning fluids, or other chemical products.

Practical help
Common problems
Check mains voltage and ensure the float switch is in a higher position.
Clean the inlet sieve with a water jet and check for bent pressure hoses.
Ensure the float switch can sink down; place the pump correctly on the shaft bottom.
Clean the inlet sieve and the pump; replace worn-out parts if necessary.
Unplug the pump, clean it and the shaft. Ensure water temperature does not exceed 35°C.
Before use
- Check that the pump rests on the ground of the shaft.
- Verify the pressure line is attached properly.
- Ensure electrical connection is 230V ~ 50Hz.
- Check that the socket is in good condition.
- Ensure moisture or water cannot reach the mains supply.
- Avoid dry running.
