Safety Warnings

Battery Warnings

This device uses a lithium-ion battery. Failure to follow these guidelines may shorten the battery's lifespan, cause damage to the device, or present risks of fire, chemical burns, electrolyte leaks, and injury.

• Do not expose the device or batteries to fire, explosion, or other hazards.
• Do not disassemble, modify, remanufacture, puncture, or damage the device or batteries.
• Do not remove or attempt to remove the non-user-replaceable battery.

Device Warnings

• Do not leave the device exposed to a heat source or in a high-temperature location, such as an unattended vehicle in the sun.
• Do not operate or store the device outside the temperature range specified in the printed manual.
• Use only power cables, data cables, and power adapters supplied by Garmin or properly certified.

Health Warnings

• Consult your physician before using a heart rate monitor if you have a pacemaker or other internal electronic device.
• The optical wrist heart rate monitor and pulse oximeter emit lights and flash occasionally. Consult your physician if you have epilepsy or are sensitive to bright or flashing lights.
• Always consult your physician before beginning or modifying any exercise program.
• The device and its data are for recreational purposes only, not for medical use, diagnosis, or treatment.

Bicycle and Navigation Warnings

• Operate your bicycle in a safe manner and ensure all hardware is properly maintained and installed.
• Use the device only as a navigational aid. Do not rely on it for precise measurements of direction, distance, location, or topography.
• Compare device information with all available navigation sources, including weather conditions, maps, and street signs.

Skin Care

Some users may experience skin irritation after prolonged use, especially if they have sensitive skin or allergies. If irritation occurs, remove the watch and allow the skin to heal. Ensure the watch is clean and dry, and do not overtighten it on your wrist.

Warranty Information

Non-aviation products are warranted to be free from defects in materials or workmanship for one year from the date of purchase. Garmin will, at its sole option, repair or replace any components that fail in normal use.

Warranty Exclusions: The warranty does not cover cosmetic damage (scratches, nicks, dents), consumable parts (batteries), damage caused by accident, abuse, misuse, water, flood, fire, or unauthorized service.
