Important Information

Before beginning the installation, ensure you have an accredited professional perform the work. Always shut off the power supply at the fuse or circuit breaker before starting. Use only the specified bulbs and do not exceed the maximum wattage recommended for this fixture.

Preparation for Installation

Carefully remove the fixture from the carton and locate the yellow bag containing all parts. Ensure you have all components before starting. Remove the old fixture from the wall, including the old mounting strap.

  • Mounting Strap (A): Contains several pairs of threaded holes and two sets of mounting screws (B & C). Tighten the hex nuts holding screws (C) if necessary.
  • Junction Box: Place the mounting strap (A) against the junction box.
  • Backplate (D): Place the backplate over the mounting strap to ensure the fixture will hang straight.
  • Securing: Pull house wires through the center of the mounting strap and secure the strap to the junction box using mounting screws (B).

Connecting the Wires

Have an assistant support the weight of the fixture while you complete the wiring. Refer to the wiring diagram to connect the fixture wires to the house supply wires:

  • Hot Wire: Connect the fixture's smooth, black, or transparent wire with a black inner thread to the house's hot wire.
  • Neutral Wire: Connect the fixture's ribbed, white, or transparent wire with a white inner thread to the house's neutral wire.
  • Ground Wire: Connect the fixture's copper, bare metal, green, or transparent wire with a green inner thread to the house's ground wire.
  • Securing: Twist the ends of the wire pairs together and secure with a wire connector. Ensure all twists are in the same direction. If no house ground wire exists, wrap the fixture ground wire around the ground screw (E) on the mounting bracket.

Finishing the Installation

Once wiring is complete, tuck the wires into the junction box and proceed with the final assembly:

  1. Place the backplate (D) over the mounting screws (C) so they protrude through the holes.
  2. Thread the deco nuts (F) onto the mounting screws (C) and tighten until the backplate is snug against the wall.
  3. Slide the glass shades (L) over the sockets (G).
  4. Push the candle sleeves (H) down into the glass shades and over the sockets.
  5. Use the socket tool (I) to thread the retaining rings onto the socket threads, securing the glass in place.
  6. Install a light bulb (not included) according to the fixture specifications.
