For your safety, all installation work should be performed by an accredited professional. Before starting, ensure the power supply is shut off at the fuse or circuit breaker. Use only the specified bulbs and do not exceed the maximum wattage recommended for this fixture.
Preparation for Installation
Carefully remove the fixture from the carton and locate the yellow bag containing all parts. Remove the old fixture from the wall, including the old mounting strap. Ensure the mounting strap (B) is prepared by attaching the mounting screws (A & C) into the threaded holes. Pull the house wires through the center of the mounting strap and secure the strap to the junction box using the mounting screws (C).
Assembling the Fixture
Feed the fixture wires from the nipple (G) through the decorative column (F). Push the wires through the hole in the column until they exit the top. Pull the wires until taut and thread the column (F) onto the nipple (G) to secure it. Adjust the 6 arms (H) to ensure they are distributed uniformly.

Connecting the Wires
Have an assistant support the weight of the fixture while you complete the wiring. Connect the fixture wires to the power supply wires from the junction box as follows:

- Hot to Hot: Connect the transparent wire with black inner thread, black wire, or smooth wire to the house hot wire.
- Neutral to Neutral: Connect the transparent wire with white inner thread, white wire, or ribbed wire to the house neutral wire.
- Ground to Ground: Connect the transparent wire with green inner thread, green wire, or copper wire to the house ground wire.
Twist the ends of the wire pairs together and secure them with a wire connector, ensuring all twists are in the same direction. If there is no house ground wire, locate the ground screw (E) on the mounting bracket and wrap the fixture's ground wire around it, then tighten the screw.
Finishing the Installation
Push the ceiling pan (D) up against the mounting strap (B) and secure it using the side screws (A). Rotate the leaf assembly (J) as needed. Install the light bulbs (not provided) into the sockets (I) according to the fixture's specifications. Turn the power back on to test the fixture.
Lighting Placement Guidelines
For optimal lighting, follow these placement recommendations:
- Kitchen Islands: Center a linear pendant over the island. Use one pendant for every 24 inches of island length. Fixtures should hang at least 30 inches above the countertop.
- Dining Tables: Fixtures should hang at least 30 inches above the table. Use a fixture that is 12 inches narrower than the width of the table.
- Open Areas: The bottom of the fixture should hang at least 7.5 feet from the floor. Ensure there is clearance for any opening doors.
