This document provides installation instructions for the Golden Lighting 1094-S mini pendant light. Key requirements include professional installation, turning off the power supply at the circuit breaker before starting, and using only specified light bulbs without exceeding the maximum wattage.
Placement Recommendations
For optimal lighting, follow these guidelines:

- Kitchen Islands: Center the fixture over the island. If using multiple pendants, space them one for every 24 inches of island length. Hang at least 30 inches above the countertop.
- Dining Tables: Hang at least 30 inches above the table. Use a fixture that is 12 inches narrower than the width of the table.
- Open Areas: The bottom of the fixture should hang at least 7.5 feet from the floor. Ensure clearance for any opening doors.
Preparation
Carefully remove the fixture from the carton and locate the parts bag. Ensure the power is off at the circuit breaker. Remove the old fixture and mounting strap. Attach the new mounting strap (A) to the junction box using mounting screws (B). Test the canopy (G) height by threading it onto the canopy loop (H) and adjusting the nipple (F) until the desired height is reached.
Assembly
Attach the glass (L) to the fixture by placing it over the cap (O) and sliding it down until it is snug. Gravity secures the glass via tension. Measure the required chain length and use pliers to remove excess chain (K). Attach chain connectors (M & J) to the chain and connect to the top loop (N) and canopy loop (H). Feed the fixture wires through the chain, canopy loop, and canopy. Trim excess wires, leaving 8 to 10 inches.

Wiring
Have an assistant support the fixture weight. Connect the fixture wires to the house supply wires using wire nuts:

- Hot: Connect to the smooth, black, or transparent wire with black inner thread.
- Neutral: Connect to the ribbed, white, or transparent wire with white inner thread.
- Ground: Connect to the copper, bare metal, green, or transparent wire with green inner thread.
Ensure all twists are in the same direction and secure with wire connectors. If no house ground wire exists, wrap the fixture ground wire around the ground screw (E) on the mounting strap.
Finishing the Installation
Push the canopy (G) up to the ceiling and secure it by threading the canopy loop collar (I) onto the canopy loop (H). Install the light bulbs (not included) into the socket (P) according to the fixture specifications. Turn on the power and test the fixture.

Practical help
Common problems
Adjust the height of the nipple (F) and canopy loop (H) before final installation. You may also need to remove excess chain links.
Ensure the glass (L) is properly seated over the cap (O). Gravity and tension should secure it; verify it is pushed down fully.
Refer to the wire identification guide: Hot is smooth/black, Neutral is ribbed/white, and Ground is copper/green/bare metal.
Before use
- Turn off power supply at the circuit breaker.
- Verify all parts are present in the package.
- Ensure the mounting surface can support the fixture weight.
- Check bulb wattage compatibility (do not exceed maximum).
- Have an assistant available to support the fixture during wiring.
Specs in practice
- Neutral Wire
- Ribbed, White, or Transparent with White Inner Thread.
Images and diagrams
- The wiring diagram illustrates the correct connection of fixture wires to house supply wires using wire nuts.
- The parts diagram labels components A through P, assisting in the identification of hardware during assembly.
