How to Make Coffee

1. Plug the unit into an outlet.
2. Set the clock by pressing the HOUR and MIN buttons.
3. Lift the lid and fill the reservoir with cold water.
4. Place a standard 8-12 cup basket-style paper filter into the filter basket.
5. Add one level tablespoon of ground coffee for each 5-ounce cup.
6. Align the brew basket with the holder and close the lid.
7. Select brew strength (BOLD or REGULAR) using the BREW STRENGTH button.
8. Press the BREW NOW button to start. The button will illuminate red.
9. Press the BREW NOW button again to turn off the unit when finished.

Programming Delay Brew

1. Press and hold the DELAY BREW button.
2. Press the HOUR and MIN buttons to set the desired start time.
3. Release the DELAY BREW button.
4. Press and release the DELAY BREW button again to activate the timer. The button will illuminate green.

Care and Cleaning

Unplug the coffee maker before cleaning. The carafe, carafe lid, and filter basket are top-rack dishwasher safe. Wipe the exterior with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners. The unit features a CLEAN notification that illuminates after 30 cycles; follow the standard cleaning procedure to reset the counter.

Troubleshooting

• Filter basket overflows: Ensure the carafe is centered on the keep-warm plate, do not exceed recommended coffee amounts, and ensure the paper filter is properly opened.
• Unit will not turn on: Check if the unit is plugged in, the reservoir is filled, or if a power surge occurred (reset the clock if necessary).
