The Hamilton Beach The Mighty Mini 1.8L Slow Cooker is designed for domestic use. It features three heat settings: LOW, HIGH, and WARM. The unit is rated at 90W and operates on 220-240V. Always ensure the unit is at least half-filled for best results. During the first use, you may notice slight smoke or odor; this is normal and will disappear.

Product Overview

The appliance consists of a steel exterior base, a removable ceramic stoneware insert, and a tempered glass lid. The base features an adjustable temperature control knob.

Safety Precautions

• Never immerse the base, cord, or plug in water or any other liquid.
• Do not touch hot surfaces; use handles or knobs.
• Always use pot holders or oven mitts when handling the stoneware insert or lid.
• Do not place the stoneware insert on a stove top, under a grill, or in a toaster oven.
• Keep the appliance and cord away from children.
• Do not use an extension cord.
• Always unplug the unit when not in use and before cleaning.

Before First Use

1. Carefully unpack the slow cooker.
2. Wash the cooking pot and glass lid in warm, soapy water, rinse, and dry thoroughly.
3. Wipe the interior and exterior of the base with a soft, moist cloth.
4. Operate the unit empty before initial use: Place the cooking pot in the base, add 2 cups of water, cover with the lid, and run on the HIGH setting for 20 minutes.
5. Switch off, unplug, allow to cool, and discard the water.

Operating Instructions

Prepare your recipe according to instructions and place food in the cooking pot. Plug the unit in and select the desired setting:

• LOW: Recommended for all-day cooking (8-10 hours).
• HIGH: Recommended for faster cooking (4-6 hours).
• WARM: For holding food at serving temperature. Do not use for reheating.

When finished, turn the control to OFF, unplug the unit, and remove the cover carefully to allow steam to escape away from your face.

Stoneware Care

• The stoneware insert is dishwasher safe.
• Do not subject the stoneware to sudden temperature changes (e.g., do not place hot stoneware on a cold or wet surface).
• Do not use abrasive cleaners or scouring pads.
• Always place food in the pot at room temperature before turning the unit on.

Cleaning and Maintenance

Always allow the unit to cool before cleaning. Wash the cooking pot and lid in warm, soapy water. If food sticks, fill the pot with warm soapy water and let it sit for a few hours. Wipe the base with a soft, moist cloth. Never immerse the base in water.

Troubleshooting and Hints

• If cooking soups or stews, leave a 2-inch space at the top of the pot.
• Stirring is generally not necessary, but occasional stirring on HIGH helps distribute flavors.
• For best results, the slow cooker should be at least half-filled.
• If the stoneware becomes stained, use a non-abrasive cleanser or a paste of baking soda and water.
