Product Description

The AXOR Montreux thermostatic shower mixer is a high-quality fixture designed for bathing and body cleansing. It features a precision thermostat that allows for consistent water temperature, enhanced by a safety function that can be pre-set to a maximum temperature, such as 42°C, to prevent scalding.

Safety Information

  • Gloves should be worn during installation to prevent crushing and cutting injuries.
  • The system is intended for bathing and hygienic purposes only.
  • Individuals with physical, mental, or sensory impairments, as well as those under the influence of alcohol or drugs, should not use the system without supervision.
  • Large pressure differences between hot and cold water supplies must be balanced.

Technical Data

  • Operating pressure: max. 1 MPa
  • Recommended operating pressure: 0.1 – 0.5 MPa
  • Test pressure: 1.6 MPa
  • Hot water temperature: max. 80°C
  • Recommended hot water temperature: 65°C
  • Flow rate at 0.3 MPa: approx. 26 l/min

Maintenance

To ensure smooth operation of the thermostat, it is recommended to turn the handle from total hot to total cold periodically. Non-return valves must be checked regularly according to national or regional regulations (at least once a year). During maintenance, check the filters on the MTC-thermoelement (A) for debris.

Troubleshooting

  • Insufficient water: Check supply pressure, clean regulator filters, and clean shower filter seals.
  • Crossflow: Clean or replace non-return valves if hot water is forced into the cold water pipe or vice versa.
  • Temperature regulation not possible: Clean or replace the temperature regulator; ensure the basic body is correctly connected (cold right, hot left).
  • Safety stop button not operating: Clean or replace the spring/button.
  • Diverter stiff or leaking: Replace the cartridge or clean the valve seat.
