Operating Instructions

Workpiece and Work Area Set Up

Ensure the work area is clean and well-lit. The workpiece must be free of foreign objects. If working on panels not attached to a vehicle, secure them with clamps. Route the power cord safely to avoid tripping hazards.

General Instructions for Use

1. Wash the workpiece thoroughly to remove dust, dirt, oil, and grease.
2. Press a clean polishing pad (sold separately) firmly onto the Backing Pad, ensuring it is centered to reduce vibration.
3. Set the speed dial to the minimum setting.
4. Apply an X-shape of product (compound, polish, or wax) across the face of the pad for the first application.
5. Plug the tool into a grounded 120VAC outlet.
6. Position the pad flat on the surface and slide the Power Switch to the On position.
7. For initial application (priming), run the tool for 30 seconds, then turn it off and remove the pad from the surface. Clean the pad with compressed air or a brush.
8. For subsequent applications, apply 3 drops of product around the outer edge of the pad.
9. Use broad, sweeping strokes in a crisscross pattern for even coverage.

Maintenance and Troubleshooting

Maintenance: Before each use, inspect the tool for loose hardware, damaged cords, or binding parts. After use, wipe the external surfaces with a clean cloth. If the plug or cord is damaged, it must be replaced by a qualified technician.

Troubleshooting:

• Tool will not start: Check if the cord is plugged in, the outlet has power, or if the thermal reset breaker has tripped.
• Tool operates slowly: Do not force the tool; ensure you are not using an undersized extension cord.
• Overheating: Ensure vents are not blocked, do not force the tool, and avoid using long or small-diameter extension cords.
