This guide provides essential information for the safe and efficient operation of the HiKOKI G 12SE2 and G 13SE2 disc grinders. Always read the full safety warnings before use. Ensure the wheel guard is properly installed, the correct wheel is selected, and the power source matches the tool's specifications.
Safety Warnings
General Power Tool Safety: Keep the work area clean and well-lit. Do not operate in explosive atmospheres. Keep children and bystanders away. Use personal protective equipment, including eye protection, dust masks, and hearing protection. Ensure the switch is OFF before connecting to power.
Grinding and Cutting Safety: This tool is intended for grinding or cutting. Do not use accessories not specifically designed for this tool. The rated speed of the accessory must be at least equal to the maximum speed of the grinder. Inspect accessories for cracks or damage before use. Hold the tool by insulated gripping surfaces. Never lay the tool down until the accessory has stopped completely.
Specifications
Both models feature a 1200W power input and a no-load speed of 11000/min. The G 12SE2 uses a 115mm diameter wheel, while the G 13SE2 uses a 125mm diameter wheel. Both have a 22mm hole diameter and a weight of 1.9 kg.
Prior to Operation
Before starting, ensure the power source conforms to the nameplate requirements. Check that the power switch is in the OFF position. If using an extension cord, ensure it is of sufficient thickness and rated capacity. The wheel guard must be securely fitted and fastened. Perform a trial run at no-load for 30 seconds in a safe position to check for vibration or defects.

Operation
Pressure: Do not overload the machine by applying excessive pressure; the weight of the machine is usually sufficient for effective grinding.

Grinding Angle: Hold the machine at an angle of 15° – 30° so that the external edge of the wheel contacts the material.
Switch Operation: Depending on the model, the switch may have a locking mechanism. For models with a lock, slide the lock lever and press the paddle lever to switch ON. To lock for continuous operation, slide the lock lever while pressing the paddle lever.
Assembly and Disassembly
To assemble the depressed center wheel: Turn the grinder upside down. Align the wheel washer with the spindle. Fit the wheel onto the washer. Screw the wheel nut onto the spindle. While pushing the spindle push button, tighten the wheel nut using the supplied wrench. Disassembly is the reverse of this process.
Maintenance
Regularly inspect the depressed center wheel for cracks or defects. Check all mounting screws and retighten if loose. Carbon brush inspection and replacement, as well as supply cord replacement, must be performed by a HiKOKI Authorized Service Center. Keep the motor winding free from oil and water.
