Device Description
These are portable tools designed for tightening and loosening bolts and nuts. They feature a tightening mode selector, LED light, and are IP56 rated for dust and water resistance when a battery is attached.
Operation
- Tightening Mode Selector: Adjusts torque based on the work type. Select the mode while the trigger is released. The mode can only be set after the battery is installed and the trigger is pulled once.
- LED Light: Automatically turns off after about 2 minutes to save battery.
- Socket Installation: Slide the O-ring out, align the socket hole with the anvil hole, insert the anvil, insert the pin, and reattach the O-ring.
Battery Charging
Before use, charge the battery using the specified charger (UC18YFSL, UC18YML2, or UC18YSL3). Ensure the battery is firmly inserted. The charger will indicate the charging status via pilot or indicator lamps (see tables in the manual for specific blink patterns).
Maintenance and Inspection
- Periodically inspect the socket for wear or deformation.
- Regularly check all mounting screws for tightness.
- Keep the motor winding clean and free from oil or water.
- Clean the exterior with a soft, dry cloth or soapy water; avoid solvents.
- Store in a place with a temperature below 40°C and out of reach of children.
Safety and Troubleshooting
If the tool stops suddenly, it may be due to overload, overheating, or being set to single mode. Allow the tool to cool or adjust the mode as necessary. If the tool does not run, check the battery charge and ensure it is fully inserted. For persistent issues, contact an authorized HiKOKI Service Center.
