Charging
Before using the tool, charge the battery. Connect the charger to an AC power source or a 12V DC in-car power source (UC18YML2). The pilot lamp indicates the charging status (e.g., blinking red for charging, solid red for charging complete, blinking red/green for errors or cooling standby).
Operation
- Battery: Insert the battery firmly into the charger.
- Side Handle: Install or remove as needed for better control.
- Torque Adjustment: Use the clutch dial to set the desired tightening torque.
- Drilling/Impact Drilling: Select the appropriate mode using the drill/impact position selector.
- Speed: Change rotation speed using the shift knob.
- LED Light: Automatically turns off after about 15 minutes to save battery.
Maintenance and Inspection
Regularly inspect the tool for dull bits, loose mounting screws, and motor condition. Replace carbon brushes when they reach the wear limit (Code No. 999054). Clean the exterior with a soft, dry cloth or soapy water; avoid solvents that melt plastic.
Safety
Always wear ear protection when impact drilling. Hold the tool by insulated gripping surfaces when working near hidden wiring. Keep the work area clean and well-lit. Store tools out of reach of children.

Common problems
Motor stops during operation
This is likely the protection function. If the battery is low, charge it. If overloaded, release the switch and remove the cause of the overload. If overheated, let the battery cool down.
Pilot lamp flickers red rapidly
Check for foreign objects in the charger's battery connector. If none are found, the battery or charger may be malfunctioning; contact an authorized service center.
Pilot lamp blinks green continuously (UC18YML2)
Check the voltage of the in-car power source. If it is 12V or lower, the car battery is too weak to charge.
Before use
- Ensure the work area is clean and well-lit.
- Check for hidden electrical wiring, water, or gas pipes in the drilling area.
- Ensure the battery is fully charged.
- Verify the switch is in the OFF position before inserting the battery.
- Secure the workpiece with clamps or a vice.
