Hilti HIT-HY 200-A/R V3 Adhesive Anchoring System Installation Instructions
Official installation and operating instructions for the Hilti HIT-HY 200-A V3 and HIT-HY 200-R V3 adhesive anchoring systems. This guide covers safety precautions, borehole preparation, injection procedures, curing times, and technical...
Quick answers from the manual
Quick answer
- The Hilti HIT-HY 200-A/R V3 is an adhesive anchoring system for concrete. Installation requires drilling, thorough borehole cleaning (vacuum, brush, air), and injecting adhesive from the back of the hole. Curing times depend on the base material temperature. p. 1, 9, 13
Key actions
- Clean the borehole thoroughly p. 13, 15
- Inject adhesive from the back p. 14, 15
First start
- Attach a new mixer and discard initial adhesive p. 13, 14
Problems and fixes
Ensure borehole is clean and dry. Use specified wire brush. If brush is too small, replace it.

The Hilti HIT-HY 200-A/R V3 is a high-performance adhesive anchoring system. Proper installation is critical for safety and load-bearing performance. Always ensure the borehole is clean, dry, and free of debris before injection. Use the correct mixer (HIT-RE-M) and ensure it is securely attached before dispensing. Always wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) as the adhesive contains chemical substances.
Safety Information
Warning: The adhesive contains chemical substances that may cause allergic skin reactions and serious eye irritation. It is also toxic to aquatic life with long-lasting effects.
- PPE Required: Wear eye protection, protective clothing, and protective gloves during installation.
- Handling: Do not get in eyes, on skin, or on clothing. If contact occurs, rinse thoroughly with water and seek medical advice if irritation persists.
- Storage: Keep in a cool, dry, and dark place between 5°C and 25°C (41°F - 77°F).
Installation Procedure
The installation process varies slightly depending on the base material and anchor type. Follow these general steps:

- Drilling: Drill the hole to the required diameter and depth.
- Cleaning: This is the most critical step. Use a vacuum cleaner, wire brush, and compressed air to remove all dust, debris, water, and oil from the borehole. The borehole must be completely dry before injection.
- Preparation: Attach a new mixer to the foil pack. Discard the initial quantity of adhesive until the color is uniform.
- Injection: Fill the borehole from the back to avoid air voids. Use extensions if necessary to reach the bottom.
- Insertion: Insert the anchor element into the adhesive-filled borehole.
- Curing: Allow the adhesive to cure according to the temperature-specific times provided in the technical tables before applying any load.
Technical Data and Curing
Curing times (t_cure) and working times (t_work) are highly dependent on the base material temperature. Refer to the tables on page 3 for specific times based on your ambient temperature. Ensure the cartridge temperature is between 0°C and 40°C (32°F - 104°F) during usage.
Disposal
Empty packs can be disposed of via local recovery systems. Full or partially emptied packs must be treated as special waste in accordance with official regulations (EAK waste material codes 08 04 09* or 20 01 27*).

Practical help
Common problems
Always wear safety glasses, gloves, and protective clothing. Ensure the mixer is properly screwed on before dispensing.
Usually caused by inadequate borehole cleaning. Ensure the hole is free of dust, water, ice, and oil. Use the specified wire brush and ensure it resists insertion.
Check the expiration date imprinted on the foil pack manifold. Do not use expired product.
Before use
- Check the expiration date on the foil pack.
- Verify the base material temperature is within the allowed range.
- Ensure you have the correct Hilti mixer (HIT-RE-M).
- Prepare a vacuum cleaner and appropriate wire brush for borehole cleaning.
- Wear required PPE (gloves, goggles, protective clothing).
Images and diagrams
- The manual provides detailed step-by-step diagrams for different installation scenarios (e.g., rebar, threaded rods, hollow drill bits).
- Tables on page 3 provide specific curing and working times based on temperature ranges.
- Tables on pages 4-7 provide technical specifications for different anchor types and diameters.
Model compatibility
- Compatible with Hilti hollow drill bits TE-CD and TE-YD.
- Requires specific Hilti dispensers (HDM 330/500, HDE 500).
- HIT-Z anchors require specific installation conditions; do not alter the surface of the HIT-Z rod.
