The Hilti DD AF-CA L is an automatic feeding unit designed for use with a diamond core drilling machine and a drill stand. It enables automated drilling processes in mineral materials. The unit is operated via the display of the connected diamond core drilling machine.
Device Description
Key components include an EMERGENCY STOP switch, carrying handle, supply cord, and mounting interface with a square shaft for attachment to the drill stand.
Installation
- Lock the carriage on the drill stand.
- Mount the auto-feed unit onto the carriage mounting adapter.
- Turn the unit until the square shaft engages.
- Secure the unit using the securing screw.
- Connect the cooling water and power supply.
Pairing
Before use, the auto-feed unit must be paired with the diamond core drilling machine via Bluetooth. Press the designated buttons on the drilling machine simultaneously to initiate pairing. The connection is saved for future use.
Operation (CUT-ASSIST Mode)
The unit operates in CUT-ASSIST mode. Ensure the unit is mounted, paired, and the continuous-running lock on the drilling machine is activated. Start the process using the confirmation button. The system will automatically search for the material surface, start cooling, and perform the drilling operation.
Maintenance and Troubleshooting
Regularly check for damage to cables and components. If the unit is not functioning, check the EMERGENCY STOP switch, power supply, and Bluetooth connection. For overheating, allow the machine to cool down.
