Table of contents
Product Overview
The Hilti DD 110-W is an electrically powered diamond core drilling machine designed for professional use. It is intended for hand-held dry drilling in masonry and hand-held wet drilling in concrete and mineral materials. The tool is designed for professional users and must only be operated, serviced, and maintained by trained, authorized personnel.
Safety Information
Before using the product, ensure you have read and understood all accompanying documentation, including safety warnings and specifications. Failure to follow instructions may result in electric shock, fire, or serious injury. Always wear personal protective equipment, including eye protection, a hard hat, ear defenders, protective gloves, and light respiratory protection. Ensure the work area is well-ventilated and use a dust extraction system when drilling materials that create dust.
Operation
The DD 110-W features a two-gear system for different drilling diameters. Before starting, ensure the side handle is securely adjusted. When fitting a diamond core bit, ensure the tool holder is clean and the bit is securely locked. For wet drilling, connect the water supply and ensure the water pressure does not exceed 6 bar. The tool may be equipped with an optional TPS theft protection system, which requires a corresponding key to unlock. Always use the supplied PRCD (or an isolating transformer for the GB version) and test it before each use.
Maintenance
Regularly check the supply cord and extension cords for damage. If damaged, have them replaced by a qualified specialist. The carbon brushes should be checked and replaced when worn. Only use original Hilti spare parts and consumables for maintenance. For any malfunctions not listed in the troubleshooting table, contact Hilti Service.

Practical help
Common problems
Carbon brush wear limit is almost reached. Have them replaced at the next opportunity.
Ensure the gear selector is fully engaged. If jammed, disconnect from power and use an open-end wrench to release the bit.
Check for maximum drilling depth, stuck core, incorrect bit specification, or polished diamond segments. Sharpen the bit on a sharpening plate if necessary.
Ensure the core bit is securely tightened. If it continues, clean the connection end/chuck or replace the seal.
Before use
- Read and understand all safety warnings and instructions.
- Check that the tool is in perfect working order.
- Ensure the side handle is securely attached.
