Operation

Cutting procedure:

  • Rotate the cutting head to the desired position.
  • Place the cable into the cutting head, ensuring it is fully inserted.
  • Press and hold the control switch until the cutting head releases pressure (indicated by an audible pop).
  • The tool returns to its initial position automatically.

Cold weather operation: If the hydraulic oil is thick due to cold, perform 5-10 empty pressing operations to warm up the tool.

Maintenance

Always remove the battery before maintenance. Clean the tool with a slightly damp cloth; do not use silicone-based cleaning agents. Keep air vents clean with a dry, soft brush. If the tool shows signs of damage or malfunction, contact Hilti Service immediately.

Safety

Always wear protective glasses. Do not use the tool in heavy rain or underwater. After approximately 100 consecutive cuts, allow the tool to cool down for 15 minutes to prevent overheating. Never use the battery as a striking tool.
