User Manual for Hoftronic 0.6-160W Rotary LED Dimmer

Important Information

This document provides instructions for the Hoftronic 0.6-160W Rotary LED Dimmer. This device is designed for indoor use in households and similar applications. It features trailing edge dimming technology and does not require a neutral wire.

Important: When calculating the LED connection power, you must account for the power factor of the dimmable LED lighting. Use the following calculation: (Number of LED light sources) x (Power per lamp / Power factor) = Total Wattage.

Installation

Installation must be performed by a qualified electrician in accordance with local electrical and safety regulations. Ensure the AC mains power is disconnected and cannot be unexpectedly reconnected during the installation process.

1. Ensure the power supply is cut off.
2. Verify the mechanical fastening and electrical connection before first use.
3. Connect the device to a supply network that meets energy quality standards.
4. Select the correct diameter of the power cable for the cable gland used in the product to maintain the IP protection level.
5. Refer to the provided wiring diagrams for one-way or two-way connection configurations.

Setting Minimum Brightness

To ensure optimal performance and prevent flickering, set the minimum brightness level:

1. Set the dimmer to the minimum load.
2. Turn the min-adjustment micro switch to the desired minimum load.
3. The dimmer is now set to the desired minimum load.

Maintenance and Safety

Safety Warnings:

• Do not install if you are a minor or have a mental disability.
• Do not use the product with a damaged protective cover.
• Avoid unfavorable conditions such as dust, water, moisture, vibrations, explosive atmospheres, or chemical fumes.
• The product may heat up; ensure free air access and do not cover.

Maintenance:

• Perform all maintenance work only when the power supply is disconnected and the product has cooled down.
• Clean only with soft, dry cloths.
• Do not use chemical detergents.
• This product is non-demountable and not suitable for independent repairs.
