  1. Lower exhaust muffler: Use soapy water to lubricate exhaust rubber hangers. Use exhaust removal pliers to remove (2) rubber hangers. Ensure the exhaust is supported before removal.
  2. Remove bottom appearance panel: Using a 7 mm socket and flat head screwdriver, remove (8) screws and (1) rivet from the bottom appearance panel on the passenger side. Return (2) screws to the vehicle owner.
  3. Remove Bolts: Using a 19 mm socket, remove (2) M12 bolts from the bottom surface of the chassis on both sides of the vehicle.
  4. Install hitch: Feed (1) carriage bolt and (1) spacer through the access hole using the pull wires on both sides of the vehicle. Leave pull wires attached. Raise the hitch and feed the pull wire through the hitch bracket slot. Remove pull wires and loosely install (1) 7/16" conical washer and (1) 7/16" hex nut on both sides. Insert (3) spacers between the offset bracket tab and mounting surface, then loosely secure the hitch using (1) M12 bolt and (1) 1/2" conical washer on the driver side. Install (3) M12 bolts and (3) 1/2" conical washers into the remaining holes.
  5. Tighten fasteners: Tighten all M12 fasteners with a torque wrench to 68 Ft.-Lb (92 N*M). Tighten all 7/16" fasteners with a torque wrench to 50 Ft.-Lb (68 N*M).
  6. Trim appearance panel: Use a die grinder to trim the area shown in the manual. Reinstall the appearance panel using (6) screws and (1) rivet removed in step 2.
  7. Reinstall: Reinstall the rubber hangers and exhaust muffler.

To prevent serious injury, death, or property damage, always read and follow all vehicle and hitch instructions before use. Do not cut, weld, or modify the receiver. Check all fasteners periodically to ensure they are tight and the hitch is securely mounted. Load the trailer heavier in the front. If excess sway occurs, take your foot off the gas pedal and hold the steering wheel steady; do not apply brakes or speed up.
