Quick guide from the manual
This document provides essential information for the safe and efficient operation of the Husqvarna 122L and 122RJ hedge trimmers. Always read the full safety chapter before use. Ensure the product is fully assembled before starting. Maintain a safe distance of at least 15 meters (50 feet) from other people or animals during operation.
Assembly
Follow the instructions for attaching the loop handle, J-handle (for 122RJ), and harness clamp. Ensure the blade guard, grass blade, and grass cutter are installed correctly using the approved parts. Tighten the nut to 35-50 Nm (26-36 ft/lb) in the direction opposite to the rotation.
Operation
Use a mixture of gasoline and two-cycle engine oil (50:1 ratio). Start the engine by pushing the primer bulb 10 times, pulling the choke control up, and pulling the starter rope handle until the engine starts. For a warm engine, push the primer bulb 10 times and pull the starter rope until it starts. Always slow the engine to idle speed after each operation.
Maintenance
Follow the maintenance schedule provided in the manual. Weekly tasks include cleaning external surfaces, checking idle speed, and checking bevel gear grease. Monthly tasks include checking the starter rope handle and rope. Yearly tasks include checking the spark plug, cleaning the cooling system, and checking the spark arrester screen. Adjust the idle speed using the T-screw so that the cutting attachment stops when the engine is at idle.
Safety
Always wear appropriate personal protective equipment, including eye protection, hearing protection, gloves, and heavy-duty boots. Do not operate the product if you are fatigued, ill, or under the influence of alcohol or drugs. Be aware of the risk of blade thrust when using grass blades.
