Quick guide from the manual
This manual provides essential information for the safe and correct operation of the Husqvarna 122R. Always ensure the product is fully assembled before use. Maintain a safe distance of at least 15 meters (50 feet) from other people or animals during operation. Always wear appropriate personal protective equipment, including eye protection, hearing protection, and sturdy, slip-resistant boots.
Assembly
Follow the instructions to install the handlebar, harness clamp, and cutting attachment. Ensure the harness is adjusted for the best work position and that the product is balanced correctly. When installing blades or trimmer heads, ensure they are correctly seated and secured with the appropriate hardware.
Operation
The product uses a two-cycle engine requiring a 50:1 (2%) gasoline/oil mixture. Always use fresh, high-quality unleaded gasoline with a minimum octane rating of 90 RON (87 AKI) and less than 10% ethanol. Mix fuel in a clean container and do not prepare more than a 30-day supply. Before starting, perform a pre-start check for loose or damaged parts, fuel leaks, and proper blade/trimmer head security.
Maintenance
Adhere to the maintenance schedule to ensure the product remains in good condition. Weekly tasks include cleaning external surfaces, checking idle speed, and inspecting the bevel gear grease and locknut. Yearly tasks include checking the spark plug, cleaning the cooling system, and inspecting the spark arrester screen, fuel filter, and fuel hoses. If the idle speed cannot be adjusted to stop the cutting attachment, contact an approved service center.
Safety
Always use common sense when operating the product. Do not operate the product if you are fatigued, ill, or under the influence of alcohol or drugs. Keep the product away from children and unauthorized persons. Be aware of the risk of blade thrust when using grass blades, and avoid cutting woody stems with grass blades or cutters.
