This manual provides essential instructions for the safe operation and maintenance of the Husqvarna TS 217Tm lawn tractor. Before using the product, ensure you have read the safety section, checked the oil and fuel levels, and verified tire pressure. The tractor is designed for cutting grass in private gardens and public parks with slopes not exceeding 10 degrees.

Safety instructions

• General: Always wear appropriate personal protective equipment, including hearing protection and sturdy footwear. Keep bystanders and children away from the work area.
• Slopes: Do not operate on slopes greater than 10 degrees. Mow up and down, not across.
• Operation: Never leave the engine running unattended. Stop the blades when crossing gravel or non-grass surfaces.
• Battery: Handle with care; avoid sparks and open flames.

Assembly

• Anti-scalp wheels: Install the anti-scalp wheel, bushing, washer, and bolt into one of the three holes on the cutting deck.
• Discharge chute: Attach the chute to the deck using the provided pins and locking mechanism.
• Battery: Connect the positive (+) and negative (-) cables to the battery terminals. Ensure the terminal cover is replaced.

Operation

• Starting: Sit on the seat, engage the parking brake, ensure the cutting deck is disengaged, and turn the ignition key.
• Driving: Use the forward and reverse pedals to control speed and direction. The pedals return to neutral when released.
• Cutting height: Adjust the cutting height using the lever located next to the seat.
• Reverse Operation System (ROS): Follow specific procedures to engage the ROS if you need to mow while reversing.

Maintenance

Regular maintenance is crucial for performance and safety. Refer to the maintenance schedule for tasks to be performed weekly or every 50 hours.

• Engine: Check oil levels before each use. Change oil and oil filter annually or every 50 hours.
• Air filter: Clean or replace the air filter as indicated in the schedule.
• Cutting deck: Clean the underside of the deck regularly. Inspect blades for damage or dullness.
• Tires: Maintain correct tire pressure for optimal performance.

Troubleshooting

If the engine fails to start, check the parking brake, fuel level, and battery connections. If the engine loses power, inspect the air filter and spark plug. For persistent issues, contact an authorized service center.
