Quick guide from the manual
The Hygger HG233 PowerGo is a portable, rechargeable aquarium air pump designed for backup during power outages, outdoor fishing, or fish transportation. It features an intelligent touch screen for airflow adjustment and an automatic AC/DC switch. Always ensure the pump is placed above the water level or used with a check valve to prevent backflow.
Installation and Setup
There are three primary installation methods:
- Below water level: You MUST install the included check valve to prevent water from backflowing into the pump.
- Above water level: Place the pump at least 25 cm (10 inches) higher than the tank's water surface.
- Outdoor use: Ideal for use as a live bait aerator during fishing.
Connection steps:
- Connect the air tube to the pump outlet.
- Install the check valve between the pump and the air stone. Ensure the flapper end of the valve faces toward the air pump.
- Connect the air tube to the air stone.
Operation and Settings
- Power: Press and hold the ON/OFF key for about 5 seconds to start or stop the pump.
- Airflow: Touch the ON/OFF key to adjust between 4 speed levels.
- Modes: Touch the key twice to switch between normal and intermittent modes. A flashing blue light indicates intermittent mode.
- Charging: The device is fully charged when all five upper indicator lights are green. Charge immediately if the first light flashes.
Maintenance and Safety
- Water Resistance: The pump is IPX4 waterproof (splash-proof only). Do not immerse in water.
- Charging: For the first use, charge for 3-5 hours until fully charged. Do not unplug immediately after reaching 100%; wait a short while.
- Air Stones: Soak air stones in water for 1-2 hours before the first use.
- Environment: Operating temperature range is 1°C to 35°C (33.8°F to 95°F).
- Drip Loop: Always form a drip loop with the power cord to prevent water from traveling along the cord to the outlet.
