This document provides instructions for the InLine 10-Gigabit Network Card (Model 51130A). This card is designed for installation in a free PCIe slot on a computer motherboard to provide 10 Gb/s data transfer rates via fiber optic networks. Before installation, ensure you have a complete backup of your existing data.
System Requirements
- Mainboard with an available PCIe slot
- Supported operating system (Windows 7 or newer, Server 2008 or newer, or Linux Kernel 2.6.x or newer)
- SFP+ module (850nm or 1310nm) or SFP+ DAC cable (max 10m)
- Fiber optic cable (multimode 9µm, 50µm, or 62.5µm)
- Optical drive for driver installation
Hardware Installation
- Switch off your computer and all connected external devices.
- Disconnect the computer from the power source and unplug all peripheral devices.
- Open the computer case.
- Locate a free PCIe slot and remove the slot bracket. Keep the retaining screw for later use.
- Align the card horizontally with the PCIe slot and insert it firmly and evenly.
- Secure the card to the computer housing using the retaining screw.
- Connect the system to the network by plugging a compatible SFP+ module or SFP+ DAC cable into the network card slot, and connect the fiber optic cable to the SFP module.
- Close and secure the computer housing, then reconnect power and peripherals.
Driver Installation
Windows
- Start Windows and insert the driver CD into your optical drive.
- If the Found New Hardware Wizard appears, click Cancel.
- Run the autorun file located in the software package.
- Click Install drivers and software and follow the on-screen instructions.
Linux
- Download and expand the base driver *.tar file.
- Compile the driver module.
- Install the module using the modprobe command.
- Assign an IP address using the ifconfig command.
Maintenance and Cleaning
Clean the product using a dry, soft cloth. Do not use water or other cleaning fluids, as these may damage the electronics.
Disposal
Electrical and electronic devices, as well as batteries, must not be disposed of with household waste. They must be returned to designated public collection points or the point of sale at the end of their service life.
