Quick guide from the manual
This cable is designed for charging electric and hybrid vehicles at AC charging stations. Before use, always inspect the cable for visible damage or dirt. Ensure the vehicle is switched off and the gear lever is in the park position before connecting. The charging process is typically managed automatically by the vehicle and the charging station.
Intended use
The product is intended exclusively for charging electric and hybrid vehicles with alternating current (AC) at charging stations. It must only be used with compatible, standard-compliant vehicle inlets (Type 2).
Safety instructions
- Do not use the cable if it is damaged or dirty.
- Keep the cable away from children.
- Do not attempt to repair the cable yourself.
- Do not use the cable with extension cords or adapters.
- Ensure the cable is not exposed to direct sunlight or extreme heat for extended periods.
- The cable is IP65 rated when connected, providing protection against dust and water jets.
Commissioning
- Switch off the vehicle and ensure the gear lever is in the park position.
- Remove the protective caps from the charging plugs.
- Connect the cable to the charging station first.
- Connect the other end of the cable to the vehicle's charging inlet.
- Ensure the connection is secure and fully engaged.
- The charging process will start automatically.
Charging process
Charging time depends on the vehicle's battery capacity, the current state of charge, and the vehicle's onboard charger limitations. The charging current (max 16A) is regulated by the vehicle. To end the charging process, stop the charging via the vehicle or the charging station, then disconnect the cable from the vehicle first, followed by the charging station.
Cleaning and maintenance
Clean the cable only when it is disconnected from both the vehicle and the power source. Use a dry cloth to wipe away dirt. Do not use steam cleaners, water jets, or aggressive cleaning agents. Store the cable in a dry place with the protective caps on.
