Quick Guide
This media converter allows for the conversion between 10GBase-T (copper) and 10GBase-R (fiber) network signals. Ensure you have the correct SFP+ transceiver module and appropriate cabling before installation.
Connections
Twisted Pair - RJ45: Connect the UTP port of the media converter to an RJ45 port on your network device, such as an Ethernet switch. It is recommended to use Cat5e or better cabling for optimal performance.
SFP+ Slot: This device requires an SFP+ transceiver module to provide fiber optic connections.
- Insert the SFP+ transceiver into the media converter.
- Install the fiber optic cable into the transceiver.
- Connect the other end of the fiber optic cable to the appropriate port in your fiber network.
Note: Maximum length and fiber cable specifications depend on the specific SFP+ model used.
LED Status
Monitor the device status using the front panel LEDs:
- Power: Off (Power Off), On (Power On).
- LNK/ACT: On (Active fiber connection), Flashing (Fiber data transfer).
- SD: On (Fiber signal detected).
- 10G: On (10 Gbps connection), Off (Less than 10 Gbps connection).
- TX Link: On (Active copper connection).
- TX Act: Flashing (Copper data transfer).
Power
Plug the 12 VDC power adapter into the input jack on the media converter and connect it to a standard power outlet. Use only the included power adapter or one with matching specifications (output of 12 VDC, 1 A).
Safety Instructions
- General: This device is for indoor, non-critical applications. Do not use in environments where failure may result in serious harm or environmental damage.
- Electrical: Use only the original or approved power adapter. Do not insert foreign objects into ports. Keep ports clean and dry. Disconnect before cleaning or servicing.

Power LED is off
