This document provides essential setup and configuration instructions for the JBL 1300MK2 soundbar system. It covers physical installation, cable connections, sound calibration, and wireless pairing.
What's in the box
The package includes the main soundbar, detachable surround speakers, subwoofer, power cords, HDMI cable, remote control with batteries, and wall mounting hardware.
Wall mounting
Ensure the wall can support the weight of the soundbar. Follow the provided diagram for spacing (647mm/25.47") and screw dimensions (≤8mm/0.31" diameter, ≥30mm/1.18" depth). Maintain a clearance of >120mm/4.7" from the TV.
Connections
Connect your TV to the soundbar using the HDMI OUT (TV ARC/TV eARC) port. For eARC TVs, use the eARC-compatible HDMI port on your TV. For ARC TVs, use the ARC-compatible port. Additional HDMI IN ports are available for external devices.
Power on & charge
Connect the power cords to the soundbar, subwoofer, and detachable speakers. The detachable speakers can be charged by attaching them to the main soundbar or via USB-C.
Sound calibration
Calibration optimizes the sound for your room layout. Follow the on-screen prompts or use the remote control to initiate the 1st and 2nd calibration steps. Press the CALIBR button on the remote to start and confirm.
Bluetooth pairing
To pair the rear speakers, ensure they are powered on. Use the Bluetooth button on the speaker to enter pairing mode. The LED will indicate connection status. Use the JBL One app for advanced setup and multi-speaker configuration.

Common problems
Rear speakers not connecting
Ensure they are charged and attempt to re-pair using the Bluetooth button on the speaker.
Calibration fails
Ensure the detachable speakers are placed in their correct positions (L/R) as indicated in the calibration diagrams.
Before use
- Check that all power cords are securely connected.
- Ensure the HDMI cable is connected to the eARC/ARC port on your TV.
- Download the JBL One app for full setup and feature access.
- Charge the detachable surround speakers before first use.
