This document provides essential steps for setting up your JBL BAR 1300X soundbar system. Before starting, ensure you have read the safety sheet provided with the product. The system includes a main soundbar, a subwoofer, and two detachable surround speakers.
Placement and Setup
For optimal sound performance, follow these placement guidelines:

- Place the soundbar on a stable surface in front of your TV.
- Maintain at least 5cm (2 inches) of clearance above the soundbar.
- The subwoofer should be placed in the room, ideally within 1-6 meters (3-20 feet) of the soundbar.
- Detachable speakers should be placed 1-1.4 meters (3-4.6 feet) from the listening position.
Connecting to TV
The soundbar supports HDMI ARC and eARC for high-quality audio transmission from your TV. Connect your HDMI cable from the TV's HDMI (ARC/eARC) port to the HDMI OUT port on the soundbar. Use the HDMI IN ports to connect external devices like Blu-ray players or gaming consoles.

Powering and Pairing
Connect the power cords to the soundbar, subwoofer, and detachable speakers. The system will automatically pair the detachable speakers and subwoofer with the main soundbar upon power-up. If a rear speaker indicates low battery, attach it to the main soundbar for approximately 4 hours to fully charge it.
Sound Calibration
To optimize the 3D surround sound for your specific room environment:

- Press the CALIBR button on the remote control.
- Follow the on-screen prompts to confirm calibration.
- The system will perform an automatic calibration process.
Wireless Connectivity
You can use the detachable speakers as standalone Bluetooth speakers. To do this, switch to Bluetooth mode and follow the pairing instructions on your mobile device. For Wi-Fi setup, download the JBL One app on your Android or iOS device and follow the in-app instructions to add the soundbar to your home network.
