Important information from the manual

The Lauben Rice Cooker 1800BC is designed for home use only. Before first use, remove all packaging and promotional materials. Ensure the mains voltage corresponds to the values on the rating plate. Always unplug the appliance when not in use or when the inner pot is not inside. The appliance features a safety switch that cuts power to the heating plate in case of overheating.

Using the rice cooker

1. Place the appliance on a dry, level surface.
2. Rinse the rice in water to remove excess starch until the water runs clear.
3. Measure the required amount of rice using the provided measuring cup.
4. Ensure the outer surface of the inner pot is clean and dry before inserting it into the device.
5. Clean the bottom of the outer container and the surface of the heating plate. Ensure the inner pot is properly inserted.
6. Cover the cooker with the lid.
7. Plug the cable into an electrical outlet.
8. Move the main switch to the ON position.
9. When cooking is completed, the Keep Warm function is activated and the WARM light comes on.

Maintenance

Cleaning: Remove the inner pot and lid and wash them in warm soapy water. Rinse thoroughly and dry with a soft cloth. Clean the outside of the appliance with a damp cloth. Never use abrasive cleaners. Do not immerse any part of the cooker in water.

Heating plate: Use the abrasive side of a sponge to clean the heating plate and remove residue. Wipe with a damp cloth and allow to dry completely before reuse. Keep the heating plate clean to prevent malfunctions and unpleasant odors.

Safety

• Do not allow children to handle the appliance.
• Do not use the appliance outdoors or on damp surfaces.
• Do not use the appliance if the power cord or plug is damaged.
• Keep the appliance away from heat sources and direct sunlight.
• Do not touch hot surfaces; use handles and buttons.
• Do not leave the appliance unattended while in operation.
• Be careful when opening the lid to avoid scalding.
