Quick guide from the manual

This document provides operating instructions for MRS Electronic flashers, including models 1.007.19x, 1.007.29x, 1.007.11x, 1.007.12x, and 1.007.30x. These devices are electromechanical switches designed for directional and hazard warning functions in vehicles and self-propelled work machines.

Important: Installation and maintenance must be performed by qualified staff. The device is maintenance-free and must not be opened. Always use an external fuse in the power supply line.

Safety

The flasher must only be operated by battery, not by mains supply. It is not permitted for use in explosive areas or safety-relevant system parts for functional safety. Ensure the system is de-energized before performing any work.

Installation and Wiring

Mount the flasher with connectors pointing downwards to allow condensation to drain. Ensure the mounting location is protected from chemicals and excessive mechanical or thermal load. A strain relief for the cable harness is mandatory (max. 100mm) to prevent mechanical damage.

Maintenance and Cleaning

The flasher is maintenance-free. Do not clean with high-pressure cleaners or steam jets. If the casing, seals, or plugs are damaged, the unit must be shut down. If contacts are corroded, clean them or replace the unit.

Troubleshooting

In case of faulty operations, check the circuitry. Ensure all flat plugs and pins are free of dirt, moisture, and corrosion. If the flasher falls, it must be returned to MRS for inspection.

Practical help

Common problems

Malfunction or unforeseen signals

Check circuitry and ensure proper software/hardware compatibility.

Corrosion or damage on contacts

Remove flasher, inspect contacts, clean if necessary, or replace the unit.

Flasher falls down

The unit may no longer be used and must be returned to MRS for inspection.

Before use

  • Ensure the system is de-energized.
  • Verify the flasher is compatible with the vehicle voltage.
  • Check for mechanical damage on the casing and pins.
  • Ensure an external fuse is installed in the power supply line.
  • Verify the mounting location is free of chemicals and excessive heat.

Specs in practice

Mounting Position
Connectors must point downwards to allow condensation to drain.
Strain Relief
Cable harness must be secured within 100mm to prevent mechanical stress.

Images and diagrams

  • Figure 1 shows the mandatory strain relief for the cable harness, ensuring the cable moves with the controller.

Model compatibility

  • Intended for use in vehicles and self-propelled work machines only.
  • Not for use in explosive areas.
  • Must be operated by battery, not mains supply.
