The Phoenix Gold ZM6SB and ZM6SW are 6.5" 2-way weatherproof speakers designed for both indoor and outdoor environments. Installation requires a flat, level surface and two stainless steel screws. When wiring, ensure correct polarity (black is negative, red is positive) and use a wire gauge of 4 sq.mm/11AWG. Always check for hidden hazards like fuel lines or electrical wiring before drilling.

Product Overview

The ZM series speakers feature an aluminium grill, a polypropylene cone, and a PVC casing with a mounting bracket. They are IP65 rated for water resistance and include an adjustable 25mm silk domed tweeter with a crossover that allows for selectable tweeter levels.

Installation

Mounting:

• Ensure the installation surface is flat and level.
• Use the included tilt mount bracket for wall or ceiling installation.
• If installing in a marine environment, ensure the location does not interfere with factory-installed electronics.
• Avoid installing near magnetic components, such as compasses.
• Always ensure the enclosure is securely attached to prevent movement.

Wiring:

• Unscrew the terminal to insert the wire.
• Black wire is audio negative (-).
• Red wire is audio positive (+).
• The terminals support a wire gauge of 4 sq.mm/11AWG.
• Banana plugs may also be used for connection.

Safety Precautions:

• Before drilling or cutting, verify the area is free of fuel tanks, fuel lines, hydraulic lines, or electrical wiring.
• Do not mount the speaker in a way that pinches or damages the wires.

Phoenix Gold provides a one-year limited warranty on speakers for defects in materials and workmanship, applicable to the original purchaser from an authorized dealer in the United States.
