The ACV HYBRID series consists of high-performance midrange speakers (NF-165HY and NF-200HY). This manual provides essential instructions for safe installation and optimal sound performance. Professional installation is recommended to ensure the longevity of the product and the vehicle's electrical system.

Safety precautions
- Prolonged exposure to sound pressure levels above 100 dB can cause hearing loss.
- Always wear safety goggles when using tools.
- Turn off the car radio and other electronic devices before starting installation.
- Disconnect the negative (-) terminal from the car battery before beginning.
- Ensure the mounting surface is flat and does not interfere with vehicle mechanics (fuel lines, brake pipes, wiring).
Installation
Before installing, ensure you have the necessary tools: electric drill, saw, screwdriver set, insulation stripping pliers, crimping tool, and silicone sealant.

Installation steps
- Select a location that does not interfere with vehicle operation.
- Use the template from the package to mark the mounting surface.
- Cut the opening using appropriate tools (e.g., electric hacksaw).
- Use an insulating sleeve for speaker wires when passing through metal to prevent damage.
- Secure the speaker using screws.
Connection
The speakers have a single voice coil rated for 4 Ohm. You can connect them in series, parallel, or mixed configurations depending on your amplifier's capabilities. Always verify the amplifier's power rating to avoid overloading the speakers.

Crossover settings
For optimal performance, adjust the crossover as follows:

- NF-165HY (165mm): Set high-pass filter to 150Hz (3-way) or 150Hz (2-way). Slope: 12dB per octave or higher.
- NF-200HY (200mm): Set high-pass filter to 120Hz (3-way) or 120Hz (2-way). Slope: 12dB per octave or higher.
Enclosure recommendations
While optimized for car door installation, these speakers can be installed in closed acoustic enclosures. The recommended total volume is 5.5 liters. If installing multiple speakers, each should be in its own separate enclosure.
Technical specifications
NF-165HY: 150W RMS, 300W Max, 125-12000 Hz, 4 Ohm, 76mm mounting depth.
NF-200HY: 250W RMS, 500W Max, 90-12000 Hz, 4 Ohm, 85mm mounting depth.
Practical help
Common problems
Check amplifier gain settings; ensure the speaker is not being overloaded beyond its RMS rating.
Avoid using excessive force; ensure the speaker cone has enough clearance and is not obstructed.
Before use
- Disconnect the negative (-) battery terminal.
- Check for fuel lines, brake pipes, and electrical wiring behind the mounting surface.
- Ensure the mounting surface is flat.
- Use insulating sleeves for wires passing through metal.
- Verify amplifier impedance compatibility (4 Ohm).
Specs in practice
- Mounting Depth
- The required clearance behind the mounting surface for the speaker magnet.
Images and diagrams
- Connection diagrams illustrate series, parallel, and mixed wiring configurations.
- Mounting diagrams show the requirement for a flat surface and screw placement.
Model compatibility
- Designed for 4 Ohm systems.
- Optimized for car door installation or closed acoustic enclosures.
