Quick guide from the manual

The Sealey VSE6541.V3 is a specialized tool designed for removing and installing the high-pressure fuel pump on Ford 2.0D EcoBlue engines. The primary benefit of this tool is that it allows the fuel pump drive gear to retain its timed position, eliminating the need for timing adjustments when the pump is refitted. Always ensure the forcing screw threads are kept clean and lubricated with high-quality grease before use.

Safety

  • Eye Protection: Always wear approved eye protection and appropriate Personal Protective Equipment.
  • Engine Timing: When timing an engine, prevent it from being turned over. Incorrect or out-of-phase camshaft timing can cause contact between the valve head and the piston crown, resulting in engine damage.
  • Workshop Practice: Ensure the vehicle is adequately supported by axle stands if raised by a jack. Account for all tools and components; do not leave them in or near the engine.
  • Clothing: Wear suitable clothing to avoid snagging; tie back long hair and do not wear jewelry.
