Assembly
To assemble the jack:

- Push the handle into the socket.
- Re-tighten the locating bolt, ensuring it fits correctly in the groove.
Operation

Before First Use
Before using the jack for the first time, you must purge the hydraulic unit to eliminate air:
- Turn the release valve control knob to open the release valve.
- Pump the handle for 30 to 40 seconds.
- Close the release valve by turning the control knob.
Raising and Lowering
- Raising: Ensure the release valve is closed. Pump the handle or use the foot pedal to raise the jack.
- Lowering: Rotate the release valve control knob to lower the jack.
Maintenance
Maintenance should only be performed by qualified personnel.
- Lubrication: Keep the jack clean and lubricate all moving parts with acid-free oil regularly.
- Oil Level: To check the oil, pump the jack to half height. With assistance, upend the jack so the ram is vertical. Remove the filler plug on top of the ram. The oil level should be just below the lower edge of the filling hole. Use only Sealey Hydraulic Jack Oil.
- Storage: Store the jack in its lowest position to minimize corrosion.
Troubleshooting
If the jack fails to operate correctly, check for the following:
- Jack will not lift: Check for overload, low oil level, or air in the system. Ensure the release valve is closed.
- Jack feels spongy: This often indicates air in the system. Open the release valve and pump the handle several times to purge air.
- Jack will not hold load: Check if the release valve is partially open or if there is dirt on the valve seats.
