The Sealey 2001LEHV.V3 is a 2.25-tonne low-profile trolley jack designed for automotive lifting. Safety is paramount: never use the jack to support a load; always use axle stands. Ensure the jack is used on level, solid ground and that vehicle wheels are chocked. Before first use, you must release the handle socket tension by removing the retaining wedge. If the jack feels spongy, perform the hydraulic system purging procedure.
Assembly
The jack is supplied with a two-part pumping handle. Insert the upper handle into the lower handle and secure it with the provided M6x35 bolt. Before inserting the handle into the socket, ensure the retaining wedge is removed to release the tension.
Operation
Hydraulic System Purging: If the jack feels spongy, open the release valve by turning it one full turn counter-clockwise, then pump the handle 20 times. Close the valve by turning it clockwise.

Raising a Vehicle: Ensure the vehicle is on a hard, level surface with the handbrake engaged and wheels chocked. Consult the vehicle manual for correct jacking points. Position the jack, turn the release valve clockwise to close it, and pump the handle to raise the vehicle. Once at the desired height, place axle stands under the vehicle before working.
Lowering a Vehicle: Turn the release valve slowly counter-clockwise to lower the vehicle onto the axle stands or the ground.
Maintenance
Only qualified personnel should perform repairs. Monthly: Lubricate the ram, linkages, saddle, and pump mechanism with light oil. Grease wheel bearings and axles. Keep surfaces clean. Three-monthly: Check the ram for rust or corrosion. Oil Level: To check, fully retract the ram, remove the top plate, and open the oil filler plugs. The oil should be level with the bottom of the filler hole. Use only hydraulic jack oil (Sealey Part No: HJO500MLS or HJO5LS).

Troubleshooting
If the jack fails to lift to full height, check the oil level. If the jack will not hold a load, the release valve may not be closing, or the hydraulic oil may be contaminated; contact an authorised service agent. If the lift arm will not lower, it may be due to cylinder ram binding or internal component damage.
