The Sealey GI2300 and GI3500 are inverter generators designed for outdoor use. Important: The unit is shipped without engine oil. You must fill the oil before the first start. Always operate on a level surface and ensure adequate ventilation to avoid carbon monoxide poisoning.
Safety Information
- Outdoor Use Only: Never use inside buildings, enclosures, or caravans.
- Ventilation: Exhaust gases contain deadly carbon monoxide.
- Fuel Safety: Petrol is highly flammable. Never refuel while the engine is running or hot.
- Electrical Safety: Ensure the generator is grounded. Do not exceed the rated wattage.
- No Modifications: Do not tamper with the engine governed speed setting.
Operation

Starting the Engine
- Turn the Economy Control Switch (ECS) to "OFF".
- Turn the fuel cock knob to "ON".
- Turn the engine switch to "ON".
- Pull the choke knob fully out (not required for a warm engine).
- Grasp the carrying handle and pull the recoil starter briskly.
- Once started, allow the engine to warm up, then return the choke knob to the original position.
Stopping the Engine
- Turn off any connected electrical devices.
- Turn the ECS to "OFF".
- Disconnect electrical devices.
- Turn the engine switch to "STOP".
AC and DC Connection
For AC power, ensure the total load is within the rated output. For battery charging (12V DC), ensure the DC protector is turned on, connect the red lead to the positive (+) terminal and the black lead to the negative (-) terminal.
Maintenance
Regular maintenance is essential for safe and economical operation.

- Engine Oil: Check before each use. Replace after the first 20 hours, then every 50 hours or 3 months. Use SAE 15W-40. Capacity: 0.45L.
- Air Filter: Check before each use. Clean every 50 hours or 3 months.
- Spark Plug: Check and adjust gap (0.6-0.7mm) every 100 hours or yearly.
- Muffler/Spark Arrester: Clean carbon deposits every 50 hours or 3 months.
Storage
For long-term storage, drain the fuel from the tank and carburetor, remove the spark plug, pour a tablespoon of SAE 10W-30 oil into the cylinder, and pull the recoil starter to coat the cylinder walls.
