Quick guide from the manual
This document provides installation and programming instructions for the Sentry 1-Channel Code Hopping Receivers, specifically models RX1E and RX1B. The primary operations involve setting the operating mode (latch or pulse), wiring the unit, and programming transmitters into the receiver's memory.
Installation
Before applying power to the receiver, you must configure the operating mode:
- Mode Selection: Select either latch or pulse mode by fitting the jumper as desired. This must be done before applying power to the unit.
- Wiring: Connect the necessary wires to the terminals on the receiver board.
Programming transmitters
Follow these steps to learn new transmitters into the receiver:
- Ensure the receiver is powered.
- Press and release the PROGRAM button on the receiver.
- The LED will flash once to indicate it is ready.
- Press the button on the transmitter you wish to learn. Keep the transmitter at least 1 metre away from the receiver during this process.
- The LED will flash three times to confirm the transmitter has been successfully learnt.
- Repeat the process for all additional transmitters.
- To exit learn mode, press and hold the PROGRAM button for at least 8 seconds until the LED flashes.
Erasing transmitters
To clear all learnt transmitters from the receiver memory:
- Press and hold the PROGRAM button until the LED flashes.
- Note: This action can only be performed directly after power-up or when the receiver is not currently in learning mode.
Technical specifications
The receiver is available in two main configurations:

- RX1E: Standard Model, operating at 433MHz.
- RX1B: Long Range Superhet Model, operating at 433/868MHz.
