Attaching and Detaching the Lens
To attach the lens, first remove the rear lens cap and the camera body cap. Align the white index on the lens barrel with the white index on the camera mount. Insert the lens and rotate it clockwise until it clicks into place. To detach, hold down the lens release button on the camera and rotate the lens counterclockwise. Always handle the lens by its mounting body rather than the operation controls.
Lens Hood and Protection
Using the included lens hood is recommended to reduce flare and maintain maximum image quality. Align the red line on the hood with the red line on the lens, then rotate clockwise until it clicks. For storage, the hood can be attached in reverse. Always keep lens caps on when the lens is not in use to protect the glass elements.
Zooming and Focusing
This lens features both a zooming ring and a power zoom lever. The lever is particularly useful for smooth, quiet zooming during movie recording. For focusing, the lens includes a focus mode switch to toggle between AF (Auto Focus) and MF (Manual Focus). Avoid exposing the lens to direct sunlight or bright light sources, as this can cause internal damage due to light focusing.
